Sarah is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from metro-Detroit who enjoys writing and sharing music about all aspects of relationships, friendships and life in general. Her original songs are influenced by her favorite artists, including Taylor Swift and Sarah Bareilles, and have been compared to the music of Colby Caillat and Carly Rae Jepsen.

Sarah regularly performs in a wide variety of venues. In the past year, in addition to her regular appearances, Sarah performed in “The Song,” a prestigious showcase for local musicians arranged by Bob Mervak (who composed the music for the “Hit and Run” soundtrack), and was selected to appear on the acoustic stage at the second largest art fair in Michigan.

In 2012, Sarah released five of her original songs on her self-titled debut EP. The EP was recorded and produced by Chuck Alkazian and includes musical performances by Brian Lord of the band Fifty Amp Fuse. The EP is now available on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby. In addition, Sarah released her original Christmas song, Chrismisfit, donating all proceeds to the Lustgarten Foundation for pancreatic cancer research.

Sarah’s EP was reviewed by PensEyeView.com (March 2013) and the L.A Examiner (January 2013), and she frequently appears in local media. Also in 2013, Sarah was interviewed live on Fearless Radio (Chicago). Her music has been played on Melomania radio (Australia) and Jango Radio.

Sarah’s other passion is performing. She has studied both acting and improvisation In 2012, Sarah was selected from thousands of singer-songwriters to appear in a national on-line advertisement campaign for Kotex. She wrote and performed original songs for a total of five commercials, mixing her own lyrics and music with lyrics submitted by people through the Kotex website and Facebook page. The commercials are available for viewing on the UbyKotex YouTube page. In addition, Sarah has performed in advertisements for local companies, including House of Bedrooms and ACO Hardware.
